My name is Carlos Andres Diaz Gallardo. I was born and raised in Watts, and the realities of my community shaped my commitment to educational equity. Growing up in an environment where students often faced systemic barriers inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting inner‑city youth. This commitment has guided me into roles focused on removing educational obstacles, improving student outcomes, and advocating for fair access to resources. My lived experience, combined with my academic training, drives my passion for helping students navigate challenges and build pathways toward long‑term success.

My academic journey, from earning my History degree at Long Beach State to pursuing my doctorate at Concordia University Irvine, has shaped me into an educator committed to equity, access, and student empowerment. I’ve worked directly with inner‑city students, helping them navigate academic, social, and structural challenges. I bring a blend of research expertise, leadership experience, and a deep belief in the transformative power of education
