Bryce Keating is a Vanderbilt University student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Methods, who is deeply passionate about mental health care. Through his studies, research experience, and volunteering, he has gained hands-on experience and hopes to make a meaningful impact on future clients' lives as a therapist. Experience
Bryce has extensive research and leadership experience in psychology and related fields. As a Research Assistant in the McKernan Lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he screens patients with bladder-focused chronic pain and administers pain assessments with empathy. In the Donahue Lab, he investigates neurofluid modulation during mindfulness meditation, conducts statistical analyses, and presents findings through conference posters and a first-author publication. Additionally, Bryce serves as a Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line, offering reflective listening and safety planning for individuals in crisis. His leadership roles include subgroup leader and peer mentor in the SyBBURE Undergraduate Research Program and Instructor for the Wilderness Skills Club, where he leads outdoor expeditions. His diverse skill set includes proficiency in MATLAB, R, Python, and EEG recording software, along with fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish.
Education
Bryce Keating is a senior at Vanderbilt University pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with Honors and a minor in Quantitative Methods, expected to graduate in May 2025. His academic background includes coursework in Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Clinical Psychology, and Delivery of Psychological Services.
