Brittany Pitcher

I'm a graduate from the Texas A&M University class of 2021. I majored in Electrical Engineering and minored in math. I have strong communication skills between friends, peers and clients alike, the capacity and drive to conquer any task, and the dedication to make my workplace better with my contributions. I'm passionate about learning new techniques and ideas as I believe remaining stagnant isn't good for the head or heart. 

Prior to graduation, I completed an internship hosted by Texas A&M (Summer 2020). I worked with my peers as well as Sentry Technologies to do research and development for new uses for their Watchdog ST product. I worked a retail job (June 2020-October 2021) which helped me to further mold my client and peer communication skills while also learning how to take a skeletal description of customer needs and ask the right questions to build up the form of the solution to ensure their happiness. After graduation, I began working in Distribution Design at M&S Engineering (October 2021- present). I currently work in the grid modernization department. We handle large asset planning projects for Entergy and currently hold most of their work in Texas as well as some in three other states. I've completed all aspects of distribution Design from overhead to underground, substation feeders edits to homes. I've even worked on commercial revenue projects which extend all the way to the customer's meter. I use pole modeling software, graphic design tools, Google Earth and much more to design poles to withstand the test of ice, winds, and time. I am adamant about doing my best in everything because people's lives are at stake in most Engineering fields,  butespecially when poles could fall off not designed properly. I plan to take this dedication to safety with me to my future career as well as my skills I've learned here.
