I am currently working at Lakewood Elementary as a reading interventionist assisting with the implementation of the PELI small group model from the UF Lastinger Center. 

Lakewood Elementary School- St. Petersburg, FL- Small Group PELI Academic Coach/ K-2 Reading Intervention- August 2022-Present

I am currently employed at Lakewood Elementary School as a small group academic coach for K-2 reading intervention helping in the implementation of the PELI small group program. My duties include conducting professional learning for teachers, academic coaching of the small group model, observing and providing teachers with feedback and collaborating with teachers to improve instruction. I also see the most at-risk students throughout K-2 in small groups implementing the PELI small group model to provide intervention as well as mentoring students considered extremely behind with data chats and family collaboration to help improve their test scores and involvement in their students education. 

Lakewood Elementary School - St. Petersburg, FL - Kindergarten/first grade teacher - July 2019 – August 2022

I am employed currently at Lakewood Elementary School.  I taught two years in kindergarten and then a year in first grade as a lead team classroom teacher responsible for two sections of English Language Arts.  My duties included teaching whole group lessons, collaborating daily in Professional Learning Communities, and teaching small reading groups based on the UF Lastinger Center’s small group model. 

Green Bay Area Substitute Teacher - K-12 teacher - Green Bay, WI - Sept. 2018 - June 2019

As a substitute teacher, I taught in four school districts in the Green Bay area. Responsibilities included whole class instruction and small group instruction.  My duties included instruction in K-12 classes ranging from special education, math, college credit chemistry, music, art, and general education classes.

Tank Elementary School, Green Bay, WI - Kindergarten teacher - Dec. 2017 - Sept. 2018

Upon graduation in December, I taught as a kindergarten teacher filling a temporary, full-time position at Tank Elementary School in the Green Bay Area Public School District.  Responsibilities included whole class and small group instruction, writing lesson plans, attending IEPs, conferences, etc.

Pell River School, Pell River, Jamaica - Student teacher - Aug. 2017 - Dec. 2017

As a student teacher, I taught literacy, mathematics, social studies, history, art, and music.   I introduced the concept of math stations and small group reading instruction, which was a huge success.  I ran the after-school swim program, as well as staffing the school library during lunch and after school.
