Brian Cook
Upper Management / Consulting
About Brian Cook:
· I have a love of learning, unstoppable curiosity, a commitment to discovery in everything I do.
· I believe in radical responsibility. That means I am accountable for my entire circumstance – professional, mental, emotional, spiritual, and most important, supporting others in taking radical responsibility for themselves.
· Intention and commitment = results. This equation works both ways. If I want to understand my commitment, look at my results.
· I have strong self-awareness, be genuine, and resist the judgment of others. Build trust by developing an understanding of where people are coming from and what they believe.
· I demonstrate integrity by being candid, honest, acknowledging feelings, and keeping agreements and commitments.
· I openly show gratitude and appreciation.
· I am committed to fun and play. I find time to create white space for rest and thinking, and avoid the self-judgment that can kill creativity, learning and curiosity.
· I challenge gossip and negativity with the opportunity to take responsibility and create a solution.
· I always focus on creating wins – for myself, for my peers, for the organization, and for my clients.
Experience
I've enjoyed a successful career as a senior IT leader across many verticals. With my ability to easily pivot I've been blessed to continue success into a career as a senior solution and enterprise architect. I've utilized my years of experience leading large-scale technology transformations that deliver measurable business results. Proven track record managing $118M+ portfolios, surpassing revenue targets (108% YOY), and guiding global teams through multi-domain modernization across cloud, network, and security. I specialize in translating complex business strategies into scalable architectures that reduce cost, accelerate delivery, strengthen cyber resilience and ultimately meet the needs of the business.
Education
4 Years of college in computer technology and mechanical engineering. Graduated with 2 Associate degrees and each had a 3.8 GPA. These degrees have served me well throughout my career. I went for 2 Associate degrees over a single Bachelors degree to show my ability to pivot and think differently when required. The time, effort and accomplishments are still the same as a single degree.
