I work at Smith Machinery Company, where I handle payroll, taxes, and all the behind-the-scenes financial stuff that keeps things running smoothly. I’m all about being organized, staying on top of deadlines, and making sure everything adds up.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors. I’ve done RAGBRAI for ten years now—it’s one of my favorite ways to explore Iowa on two wheels. I also enjoy hiking and spending time on nature trails whenever I get the chance. 

I’m an experienced accountant with over 5 years in financial reporting, payroll, and tax compliance. Currently at Smith Machinery Company, I manage daily accounting operations and support budgeting and forecasting. I’ve worked across industries—from manufacturing to legal services—bringing accuracy, efficiency, and a strong understanding of internal controls. I’m skilled in accounting software applications, and fluent in English and Spanish. I’m passionate about helping businesses stay financially healthy and organized.

I hold an AAS in Accounting Specialist and an AA in Accounting & Financial Administration from Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in Ankeny, Iowa. My coursework focused on financial reporting, payroll, tax preparation, and accounting software, providing a strong foundation for my career in accounting
