About Bipin Lamichhane:

I am a graduate assistant at Mississippi State University interested is in computational material science. Currently, my work focuses on the ab-initio study of materials, specifically used in the electronic or semiconductor industry. I have experience working on the oxidation resistance of copper surfaces, creating surfaces of metal, and interfaces between metal and ceramic. Many technical industries require stable interfaces, which is my field of study.

Experience

Worked on oxidation resistance of atomically flat Cu(111) surface calculation based on density functional
theory.
Calculated diffusion barrier in mono-atomic and multi-atomic step edge.
Experienced making surfaces and interface structures of metal/ceramic.
Minimum energy path (MEP) calculation for adatom on Cu(111) and Al2O3 (0001) surface.
Experienced working with 2D materials.
Experienced using HPC environments for submission and monitoring of jobs.
Electronic, magnetic properties of Zn-Sn, Mn and Al-Ca doped strontium hexaferrite.
