Day-to-day operations and skills learned at the clinic include having a comprehensive and particular understanding of medical terminology regarding orthopedics, mainly of the upper extremities, which include hands, wrists, and elbows, to document patient encounters during clinic days. Moreover, I am familiar with various CPT and ICD-10 codes necessary for processing patient billing. Additional skills learned include conversing with patients to fulfill their needs regarding Rx refills, scheduling appointments and referrals either inside or outside our clinic, assisting in the preparation of in-office procedures, and practice maintenance.
