About Avery Korowitz:
I'm Avery and I am a 15 year veteran of the service industry who started her career in NY before moving to San Diego in the early 2010s. I'm bubbly, out-going, and energetic. I have spent years cultivating my “soft skills”: I know what hospitality means and I care. My mise-en-place and multi-taking are impressive, and so is my ability to remember the names and lives (and drinks) of the guests I interact with daily. I am a reliable and helpful coworker, and am eager to assist where needed. I am hands down the fastest well bartender you've ever seen and can consistently crank 6-8 multi-pull drinks at a time while servicing guests.
Experience
My last 5 years were spent as the lead bartender at Morning Glory in Little Italy. In those 5 years I was barista, server, bartender, and MOD. Before that, I worked at Farmer and the Seahorse, Wheat and Water, and the (now defunct) Mission Valley Resort. I was fine dining trained in New York at Nisen Sushi and spent several years at Delmonico's in New York (and helped them open their offshoot Delmonico's Kitchen, also in New York City). On top of being able to consistently and quickly make drinks and give guests a memorable and enjoyable experience; I am also competent in liquor and produce ordering, inventory, DBS entering, staff-training, and POS programing, as well as cash-handling (money drops etc).
Education
I have a BA in literature from SUNY Geneseo.
I am RBS certified, I have a current food handler's card, and I am up to date in my mandatory California sexual harassment training.
