DoD Educational Multimedia Producer

  • Produces and directs 4K cinema-quality training films for NSW Basic and Advanced Training Commands. Visualizes and communicates complex educational concepts to develop storyboards, audio scripts, 3-D modeling sequences, and animated graphic layouts. Adheres to strict quality standards, technical training specifications, and After-Action Reports (AARs), maintaining consistency and compliance with NSW curriculum methodologies.
  • Collaborates closely with military SMEs, contracted filmmakers, graphic artists, software developers, and Command Level leadership to identify training deficiencies and develop multimedia solutions. Serves as Director, Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor to deliver custom-made multimedia into specific phases of NSW training, reducing student attrition on an average of 15% per class.
  • Researches and procures innovative new learning technologies to support over 580 military instructors and support staff, providing cutting-edge educational media and methodologies to facilitator-led and computer-based training platforms. Assesses training solutions to determine the best fit for learning modality, producing consistent and reliable improvements in NSW student and instructor performance.

 

Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)

  • Applies a strong working knowledge of adult education principles to produce training materials for NSW Basic and Advanced Training courses, including; lesson plans, trainee guides, testing plans, and interactive learning aids. Adapts learning methods to meet NSW Instructor Staff needs across widely varied environments, including; classrooms, laboratories, Computer-Based Training (CBT), and practical application in the field, while adhering to strict NAVEDTRA curriculum standards. 
  • Utilizes a deep understanding of the ADDIE design models to manage all DON training development processes for 14 Naval Special Warfare (NSW) courses, leading Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) by translating NETC program policies into technical training materials. Analyzes training data to identify learning barriers that adversely affect employee development programs, designing instructor mentorship programs that result in definitive improvements to workplace performance outcomes. 
  • Collaborates with Command Leadership stakeholders to assess the instructional effectiveness of current training programs, conduct gap analyses, and determine the need for future knowledge solutions. Guides junior ISD team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex learning systems, ensuring organizational training goals are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Audits NSW pipeline Resource Requirement Lists (RRLs) for a combined training budget of over $59.8M, ensuring training material requirements are consistently met with 100% accuracy, contributing to the production of approximately 320 Navy SEALs and 80 SWCC Operators each fiscal year. 
  • Implements strong cross-functional influencing over subordinate Echelon IV Commands, engaging with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Government Contracted Learning Designers, and internal/external ISDs to oversee the development of courseware in 49 training courses. Conducts quality assurance reviews to confirm that all instructional materials and associated media support the Commanding Officer’s overall curriculum strategy.
