Ashly Smith

I am a dedicated and hardworking Medical Assistant, having recently graduated at the top of my class. Throughout my education, I was proud to serve as a mentor to fellow students, offering guidance and support to help them succeed. I take pride in being organized, responsible, and committed to providing the best care and assistance to patients and healthcare teams. My passion for the medical field drives me to continuously grow in my knowledge and skills.

I bring diverse experience in the healthcare field, starting as a Home Health Aide where I provided private care for senior citizens, offering essential support and improving their quality of life. Currently, I work as a Respite Worker, assisting children and young adults with autism, and providing crucial care to families in need. I also recently completed a 180-hour externship in a pediatric office, where I worked closely with children of various age groups. During my externship, I was able to showcase my skills, adapt quickly, and excel in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience in pediatric care. Now that I have recently graduated I am ready to start working in my new career as a Medical Assistant. 

I completed my Medical Assisting education at Carrington College, where I gained hands-on experience in patient care, venipuncture, vaccinations, and other key skills essential to the role. Throughout my studies, I maintained a GPA of 3.8-4.0 and was honored to be on the President’s List for four terms. Additionally, I served as a student mentor, helping my peers succeed and develop their skills in the program.
