Ashika Kamisetty

Hi, my name is Ashika Kamisetty. I am a sophomore at Purdue University studying Marketing and Management. I thrive off of learning new things and pushing myself to be stronger and smarter every day. For me, every day that doesn't bring a new and valuable skill is a day wasted. Last summer, I was an Operations Management Intern at ODW Logistics, working with their DC 12 warehouse. During this time, I developed a broad range of skills and gained a deep understanding of the supply chain industry. I was part of a team of interns who studied the inbound side of the warehouse, and I conducted several audits and collected data throughout the summer. I was also given a special project: creating a vendor compliance manual, which I presented to the executive committee on my last day as an intern. At Purdue, I'm involved in a number of extracurricular activities. I founded Purdue Kahaani, a competitive Bollywood fusion dance team, in the spring of 2022. As the Head Captain and President, I oversee all positions, including the finance director, marketing chair, and operations chair, and maintain contact with Purdue University supervisors to keep them informed about our progress and growth. I also maintain all of our social media accounts and create our recruitment and progress posts. I'm proud to say that our organization is the first competitive Bollywood fusion dance team at Purdue. Looking ahead, my goal is to keep challenging myself and stepping outside my comfort zone. I'm a confident and dedicated person, and I'm passionate about everything I do. I see digital marketing as the future of marketing for companies and would love to be given the chance to explore my creative interests and bring my innovative ideas to current marketing standards. 

Last year, as an intern at ODW Logistics, I got the opportunity to learn about the different tools and materials used to navigate a warehouse and what it is like to work on the inbound and outbound sides of the warehouse. We worked with many different companies such as Premier, Ulta, and Pillsbury and learned different methods such as time studies, six sigma, the kata method, and how to use Excel. For our project, I worked with a team of three other people to create a vendor compliance manual and presented our final project to the executive staff at the end of the summer. 

I am currently a Junior at Purdue University studying Marketing and Business Management.
