Most of my experience comes from internships and personal projects.

I joined Google as an EP Intern and a STEP Intern, which were both software development internships. For one internship, I joined the Android Authentication team to work on an experimental entry point for device pairing and a new authentication method. My second internship had me working with a team to create a full-stack collaborative restaurant search web application using several Google Places APIs. For these two internship projects, I used Android Studio, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Express.js.

For my personal projects, I have recently finished a large full-stack web application called Chary. Chary is a budgeting application that allows users to log in and manage budgets, expenses, and earnings. Users are authenticated either by a password (which is hashed and stored safely in a database) or by signing in with Google. Chary also allows users to flexibly choose to modify one, future, or all occurrences of a recurring budget, expense, or earning similar to a calendar app. This project was created using Python, Flask, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Google Cloud Services for the database and hosting.

In addition to full-stack applications, I have worked on several smaller personal projects, including a language detection machine learning model, which ties together my background in linguistics and experience with programming.

I studied linguistics for my undergrad and completed a minor in computer science. My focus was on computational linguistics, where linguistics and computer science intersect. For my program, I took courses on audio manipulation and natural language processing as well as math and statistics. Through these courses, I learned how to use technologies like Scikit-learn, R, and MatPlotLib.
