Experience

My work in genetics consisted of me running experiments to determine hormone efficacy on plant outcomes and creating data visualization, process automations and conversion pipelines using Python and R. I gained valuable and practical experience in web scraping, data manipulations, and Excel through these projects. My work was also largely self-led, allowing me to understand the process of creating usable programs from start to finish.

Education

While I began my college education as a biochemical engineering major, I realized that the most fulfilling experiences I was having were those in which I was interacting with software and data. I switched majors to computer science and minored in statistics, taking classes and gaining work experience mainly focused on web application creation and statistical programming.
