As a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, I am currently finishing my Masters degree in Software Engineering this summer. While programming is my primary passion, the intersection between biology and technology is where I find myself most inspired. My experiences as a student and software engineer have given me the confidence and skills that are needed to succeed in this industry.

• Collaborated with Dr. Mathias to optimize target tracking with 2D to 3D simulations
• Updated simulation code written in C to simplify code
• Wrote and ran new scripts in Python for research on optimal run conditions

Software Engineering Intern             June 2020 – Jan 2022

Sergeant Laboratories - Onalaska, WI

• Added functionality to front-end of software product via Javascript, Jquery, and Kendo
• Scrubbed and implemented data from databases including Mongo and PostgreSQL
• Developed scripts to internationalize product from the front and backend 
• Created backend tests for Python scripts via Django framework to identify and fix bugs

• Created visualization tools for DSLEUTH simulation output using Python and NumPy
• Generated MatplotLib graphs to compare output logs from multiple runs of DSLEUTH
