About Annie Stout:

I believe that I have the unique skill sets, educational experiences, and academic background which make me the ideal candidate for the open faculty line. My professional assignment as a faculty member at Florida Gulf Coast University has presented its own challenges for developing and growing the entrepreneurship school and preparing me for further opportunities to serve the field of education in new ways. This application for the position of teacher is motivated by a belief that my work in creating and growing programs, specifically the Daveler and Kauanui Entrepreneurship School at Florida Gulf Coast University, has equipped me to develop and strengthen targeted programs.

Among the attributes I would bring to the role include a career of progressively complex and successful program development efforts across organizations, excellent interpersonal skills, and thorough knowledge of the educational strategies provided by my experience in operating programs for the private and public sectors. Together these characteristics will enable me to design, implement, evaluate, and scale programs to achieve new levels of excellence.

Serving on a team established to launch high growth initiatives for Florida Gulf Coast University has allowed me the opportunity to design, implement, evaluate and scale programs resulting in the following accomplishments:

  • Scaled the Entrepreneurship academic program and achieved 640% growth in student entrepreneurship enrollment.
  • Achieved 227% positive change in student contact hours from fall 2017 to fall 2022.
  • Increased the Princeton Review ranking from #29 to #15 nationally in 2022.
  • Opened a 3-story building in July 2021, partnering with philanthropic organizations.
  • Graduated 140 students in academic year 2021-22
  • Aligned the Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellows program with 22 academic departments and infused the entrepreneurship mindset across the curriculum.
  • Designed dual-enrollment programs and increased enrollment with five school counties
  • Evaluated and scaled the most successful Live Learn Community at Florida Gulf Coast University

I came to Florida Gulf Coast University in 2016 enticed by its identity and eager to serve a youthful and vibrant university. Promoting the institution and building relationships is a vital aspect of my current teaching role. Making connections, cultivating relationships, and working to promote my institution has been a fundamental aspect of my work. I have extensive experience working with enrollment management, housing, and recruitment offices. As an instructor, I specialize in leveraging faculty as a resource for growth through analyzing data. My strategies have been presented at the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship Conference.

I look forward to working with Pace Center for Girls to implement programs and models by developing and expanding strategic initiatives that enhance student outcomes and elevate performance.

I appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,

Annie M. Stout
