AnnaMaria Cardinalli
Non-profit / Volunteering
About AnnaMaria Cardinalli:
After a long career in federal, military, and private security and intelligence, I am pursuing my passion in humanitarian work for a nonprofit, for which I volunteer full-time. To support this, I am looking for flexible or part-time opportunities that are consistent with my values and experience. I love people, and I love being of service. Thank you for the opportunity to say hello!
Experience
APRIL 2017 - PRESENT
Familia Victricis - Vice President (pro bono)
Familia Victricis provides humanitarian aid to at-risk populations while seeking concrete solutions to systemic problems. The organization is both a 501c3 nonprofit and an Association of the Faithful under Roman Catholic canon law. In 2017, I had the joy of taking vows in the emerging community, to which I now offer my full-time service.
APRIL 2017 - PRESENT
St. Catherine’s Mission - Homeless Outreach, EMT-B (pro bono)
St. Catherine’s Mission is an apostolate of Familia Victricis. Our mobile outreach patrols the streets seeking to encounter the “hidden homeless” and address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the most vulnerable, especially veterans, youth, women, and the elderly.
I serve both in aid delivery and as a medical responder, often addressing cases of overdose, injury, environmental emergencies, malnutrition, and, even more critically, the trauma that both precedes and accompanies these conditions. In short, I often meet people on their worst day in the hope of being an instrument of compassion and healing.
JANUARY 2010 - APRIL 2017
D’Angelo Global Solutions – President, Private Investigator
My military and federal background led me to establish D’Angelo Global Solutions, which supported U.S. Government and corporate clients in issues of intelligence, counterterrorism, and security threat mitigation. Clients D’Angelo Global assisted included the U.S. Departments of Defense and State, U.S. Army Special Operations Forces, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, and various private organizations.
Additionally, D’Angelo Global was a New Mexico licensed private investigative agency. Services offered ranged from overt and covert investigative objectives to security provision for high-profile events and executive protection, particularly of female clients best served by a gender-matched detail.
Surprisingly, it was my work with D’Angelo Global in my home state that most echoed my experience in Afghanistan, revealing the neglected needs of victims of violence and exploitation, and profoundly influencing my decision to make service to them the focus of my future work.
JANUARY 2011 - JANUARY 2013
American Military University - Professor
I taught several courses and mentored individual student projects in the Graduate Program of Intelligence and National Security Studies.
MARCH 2010 – MARCH 2020
United States Navy - Reserve Intelligence Officer, LT (O-3)
Assigned to EUCOM JAC, Counterterrorism Branch, where I served both on active duty and as a reservist. I will gladly provide greater detail regarding my duties in the appropriate environment. Later years were inactive, awaiting a determination of medical retirement.
SEPTEMBER 2008 - JANUARY 2010
U.S. Army Human Terrain System - Senior Social Scientist
While deployed in southern Afghanistan on a Human Terrain Team embedded in support of the 2nd Marines, I was tasked with on-the-ground research to increase socio-cultural understanding between American forces and Afghan civilians at the village level. Additionally, I served as a trainer and founding member of the USMC Female Engagement Team (FET). Collaterally, I performed medical, humanitarian, and security duties as necessitated.
Unfortunately, because my investigations focused on local welfare, this frequently revealed crimes against children, and a leaked report of mine became the source of substantial media attention. Ultimately, it resulted in a UN sanction against the activities of the Afghan National Army and the Afghan National Police in the recruitment and subsequent abuse of underage boys and a US Congressional investigation, for which I testified, on the matter.
FEBRUARY 2007 - SEPTEMBER 2008
Federal Bureau of Investigation - Intelligence Analyst/Operations Specialist
As an Operations Specialist in the FBI's International Terrorism Operations Section, I lent analytical support to the investigation of foreign‐based threats to the US homeland. From my headquarters posting, I was able to access information from outside military, government, and international law enforcement organizations to establish links that were not readily apparent in field investigations.
MARCH 2008 - JULY 2008
Joint Interagency Task Force - West (TDY from FBI) - Intelligence Analyst
I was honored by my agency’s selection to deploy to Iraq as a representative to the JIATF‐W. While the nature of the Task Force is classified, I worked and lived integrally with my military counterparts and contributed front‐line involvement in direct support of the Global War on Terror. I will happily elaborate my duties in the appropriate environment. I received the Joint Civilian Commendation Medal in the course of my duties.
JANUARY 1990 - PRESENT
Musica Mundial Productions – Cultural Ambassador, Customer Service
As an 18th generation Santa Fean, it has been my lifelong passion to share the unique beauty of our community with the world, both through art and through creating personal connections. I have traveled as a cultural ambassador for the State of New Mexico and toured on the national university circuit as a performer and lecturer.
At home, I have served as a musician and presenter at the cultural hubs of our city, welcoming guests into an experience of our living history. I have also simultaneously held customer service and sales role for the extensive catalogue of recording and documentary film projects Musica Mundial has produced.
JANUARY 1990 - PRESENT
Various Employers Worldwide - Classical Musician
I am a Spanish guitarist and operatic contralto, with a musical resume including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center, where I made my solo recital debut at the age of 14. While I would be happy to provide a full performance history upon request, a quick google search should produce more entertaining examples of my work. I currently use my musical platform to raise funds and awareness for St. Catherine’s Mission.
