Anna Urrea

Aspiring public health professional, currently working as Program Coordinator at Kids in Need of Defense Boston. Looking to find roles that emphasize health equity, social justice and collaboration. Graduated 2021 with previous experience in contact tracing, community health, creating health promotional materials and more.

I began my professional career as a contact tracer, then case investigator for UNC Charlotte’s contact tracing team. Afterwards I was accepted to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Associate Program, a post graduate training opportunity. As part of this program, I worked at nonprofit hospital Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT supporting multiple community health efforts. Currently, I am the Program Coordinator for Kids in Need of Defense‘s Boston office, where I support the legal team in administrative tasks.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
