Ania Lakritz

Hello, I am Ania. I am a recent graduate of UCLA in English and French. I am interested in teaching, nannying, and caregiving jobs. I have taught English, Creative Writing, French, Art, Yoga, and Dance in Los Angeles and France. I hope to be a licensed psychotherapist one day. Currently I have a part time job teaching Art and Fashion in LAUSD elementary after- school. I am fluent in French and have experience tutoring young children age 6 and up in French. I am looking for a part time to full time job, but I am really looking for a position where I get to make an impact and work in a deep way with young people. I have also had a wide range of job experiences from cleaning houses to sales and customer service to office work, as well as working in the UCLA Library Special Collections. I have also done some internships, one in the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles and the other for a nonprofit, called American Friends of Oasis of Peace. I have my own car and do not smoke.

In terms of teaching positions, I currently teach Art, Dance, and Fashion in LAUSD elementary schools after school. I taught English in a poor suburb of Paris during the Pandemic, before vaccines. I have also tutored French with kids as young as six. I mentored middle schoolers in Watts in Creative Writing. I also do some cleaning and babysitting right now, but I am looking for a steadier position. In the past I have done sales and customer service, office work, and worked in the UCLA Library Department of Special Collections. I have had internships at the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles and a nonprofit, American Friends of Oasis of Peace.

I graduated from UCLA with a double major in English and French and a concentration in Creative Writing. I have a lot of experience with teaching and working with people aged two to seventeen. I've also done a lot of babysitting and caregiving recently and I know how to clean a house. I can be useful to families and organizations in a practical and reliable way, but I also offer skills and knowledge that are unique, because I am an intellectually curious individual with a range of artistic and scholarly interests. I am fun and inspiring and I have a lot of patience and nurturing in all my relationships. I have also worked a lot with children with special needs and know a lot about various mental illnesses. I am planning to work as a psychotherapist in the future.
