- Founded and chaired a 125+ member volunteer committee, providing governance, recruitment, training, and motivation.
- Created and launched the Trailblazer Fashion Show in 2004, now one of the Rodeo’s largest annual fundraising events, generating $1M+ annually. Event went from 300 attendees to 2,200 attendees at Hilton America’s with a full day of shopping on three floors and after party for over 1,000 attendees
- Established the Trailblazer Award, recognizing outstanding women in the Houston area and their contributions to organizations including the rodeo. This event highlights the resumes of talented individuals that has led to more leadership roles for women including current Chairman of the Board, Pay Mann Phillips.
o Attracted new audiences beyond traditional Rodeo supporters, expanding donor
reach - Launched Ladies Night Out in 2004, the first all-female event held at NRG Stadium during the rodeo. Event maxed out at 500 tickets every year. Attracted new audiences beyond traditional Rodeo supporters and expanded donor reach to suburban areas in counties of Harris, Brazoria, Fort Bend and Montgomery Counties. Created awareness that every high school in Harris Country and surrounding counties had scholarships to offer at each high school.
