About Andrew Sanders:
Senior Project Manager, and certified Scrum Master with over ten years of experience. Having worked in IT, media and marketing I am comfortable running multiple projects with cross functional teams for entire enterprises; I have used both waterfall and agile methodologies when running projects. When I partner and collaborate with teams on projects, I assume the position of servant leader, so the team is comfortable coming to me for the support they need to be successful.
Experience
SAGE HOSPITALITY GROUP – Studio Division Jan 2023 – Apr 2025
Creative Project Manager
As Project Manager for Sage Hospitality Group's Studio Division, I applied strategic thinking to develop the different processes we use for successful project execution regardless of scope.
Working with the project management tool Asana I customized the tool to increase project visibility, cross functional collaboration and reporting on status of the work. To enhance collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders, I implemented tech solutions, including ReviewStudio and Slack, as well as exploring enhanced functionality in current tools, including versioning and Hub features in Box, the organization’s file storage.
Key Contributions
- Rolled out project management tool Asana enterprise-wide to be flexible and agile across the entire company, creating various templates and reports increasing communication and productivity
- Created SOPs, processes and best practices for the team
- To increase cross functional collaboration, I created a folder structure that combined the project files across multiple teams creating visibility across teams, avoiding multiple copies of project files in different folders
- Coordinate with external vendors for RFPs and delivery of final product
EVOLVE VACATION RENTAL, DENVER, CO - Marketing Jan 2021 – Jan 2023 Project Manager
Project Manager for the marketing department of Evolve Vacation Rental. Working with multiple cross functional teams, I managed projects of different sizes from inception to execution. I worked on projects that were marketing specific, and on cross departmental projects that roll up to companywide goals. When working on projects I collaborated with multiple stakeholders, adapting to changing priorities and removing roadblocks for the team.
Key Contributions:
- Developed multiple processes within the department, including standard processes for repeatable projects (e.g. monthly emails), to project prioritization.
- Introduced the team to different project management workflows to best suit individual projects. This includes using Kanban methodology, as well as Waterfall methodology.
- Grew the project management team to allow for more work to be completed.
University of Denver, Denver, CO - Marketing Sep 2018 – Jun 2020
Marketing Project Manager
I worked in the marketing and communications office of The University of Denver as part of the PMO team, engaging with customer accounts across the entire enterprise. I managed many projects where we created marketing and communication materials such as designed assets (digital and print), videos, as well as web projects. The projects supported events at DU, such as homecoming and fundraising events, as well as community announcements.
Key Contributions:
- A large initiative I was responsible for was the assessment and rollout of the project management software, Workfront. When rolling out the software I developed a new intake process for our customers that allowed them to request projects directly into the tool and customized the tool to allow for the utilization of both waterfall and agile methodologies used in the department. As part of the rollout, I created reporting to monitor department efficiency.
- Updated department and documented processes for DU quarterly magazine by analyzing current process and discovering inefficiencies. Developed a standard template of tasks, and task durations within the project, and assigned defined roles and responsibilities to the team.
