Loan Officer at UCEDC, a nonprofit economic development corporation
In my role as a loan officer for UCEDC, a nonprofit economic development corporation dedicated to small business development and job creation in New Jersey, I draw on a wealth of commercial banking experience and successful small business ownership to help start-ups and established small businesses secure the funding they need to succeed.
As a CDFI and SBA lender, UCEDC steps in when conventional lending sources are not available. In the past ten years alone, UCEDC has loaned over $20 million to businesses throughout New Jersey, creating and retaining over 3,500 jobs.
I work with borrowers that do not meet typical underwriting criteria despite having strong foundations and sound business operations. I’ve been successful in securing funding through a variety of SBA loan products for start-up businesses as well as borrowers with insufficient collateral and/or equity contributions or fair-poor credit scores.
I work directly with clients from the initial inquiry to the loan closing and help them to prepare the strongest possible application for microloans (up to $50,000), Community Advantage 7a loans ($50,000 - $250,000), and 504 Commercial Real Estate Loans (up to $5 million).
I also work with banks and other lenders in co-lending situations (in which UCEDC assumes a subordinate position) and gratefully accept referrals of customers that they cannot help. Since UCEDC is a CDFI, banks can receive CRA credit for their partnership efforts with us.
I welcome inquiries from small businesses throughout New Jersey as well as lending institutions, brokers, CPAs, realtors, and others who share our commitment to small business development. You can reach me at email@example.com .
