Andrea Herrera

My name is Andrea and I received my bachelors in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology on 2023. I have volunteered at the California Wildlife Center and the Wildlife Learning Center for a year each. There I cleaned animal enclosures, made and delivered daily diets, assisted with animal intakes, administered medications under staff guidance, and learned about animal handling during examinations. I am always willing to expand my knowledge in Animal husbandry and look forward to doing so. 

Currently, I have two part times jobs that are completely different from one another. I am an assistant manager at Sharetea since July 2022 and in February 2023 I started working at the LA Zoo under the Animal Care department doing browse. 

I have a degree in Ecology & Environmental  Biology from CSUN. In 2022 I was selected to participate in the Tropical Semester. The semester consisted of students going to three separate biology stations across Ecuador. Students were required two come up with two experiments and collect data within the semester.
