Alyssa Kirby

I'm a dedicated third-year student at the University of Georgia who is pursuing degrees in both Political Science and International Affairs. I am also pursuing certificates in Applied Politics and Global Studies. I have an enormous passion for state government, federal government, and intergovernmental collaboration. I volunteer as a puppy raiser with The Guide Dog Foundation and on Christian Campus Fellowship’s Leadership/Outreach Team. I will be attending UGA School of Law in fall 2023.

Georgia Secretary of State: Legal and Clerical Intern, Atlanta Georgia

May 2021 – August 2022

●  Aided employees in Securities, Charities, and Cemeteries Division

●  Completed Division-related projects including entering data into spreadsheets, uploading files, and

approving paperwork

●  Facilitated the work of attorneys by investigating fraudulent financial activities, reviewing legal documents, and

creating subpoenas

Guide Dog Foundation: Volunteer Dog Raiser

January 2021 – Present

●  Worked as a temporary raiser from January 2021- July 2022

●  Permanent raiser as of August 2022

●  Trained dogs to become service animals, attended monthly meetings

●  Presently raising a seeing-eye dog for a full year from puppyhood

●  Unpaid, full-time
