Alyssa Garcia

I am currently a Junior in the Hospitality and Tourism Program at Buffalo State University. I found myself drawn to this field from the jobs and volunteer experience that I did in high school and now in college. My first experience with customer service was as a waitress and cleaning person at Brookdale Senior Living. I served the residents and visitors their meals, along with clearing and setting up for the next meal service and worked there for a year. Currently I am employed at Rite Aid as a cashier and responsible for restocking, I have been with this company for almost three years. Recently I started to volunteer for Big Big Table, a community cafe in the city of Buffalo. What started as a requirement for class has become a weekly commitment to my community.  It has been these work and volunteer experiences that helped me to grow and get out of my comfort zone, as I tend to be shy. I have a strong customer service background, and I am interested in growing my skills both personally and professionally at Wegmans.
