Allyson DeCelle

I am a passionate and dedicated individual who has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from Loyola University Maryland. Throughout my time at Loyola, I have developed a strong foundation in business intelligence, data analysis, and programming, equipping me with the skills to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets. My hands-on experience with various data manipulation tools and programming languages, such as Python, Tableau, SQL,  and R, has enabled me to tackle real-world problems with a data-driven approach. I am enthusiastic about applying my knowledge to contribute to innovative solutions and drive informed decision-making. With a keen eye for detail and a curiosity to explore the depths of data, I am eager to embark on a journey of continuous learning and professional growth in the dynamic field of data science.

I recently worked as an intern at Loyola University Maryland's Office of Undergraduate Admissions as well as served on the executive board of students as Vice President making me responsible for managing an organization of ninety-two student interns and tour guides. My responsibilities included providing general administrative support, as well as collaborating to develop, coordinate, and implement ideas and activities for large-scale university admission events for prospective students and families. I was also in charge of keeping up-to-date profiles for all ambassadors and making organizational recommendations based on data collected involving tour feedback and event surveys.

My data science degree taught me comprehensive skills and knowledge to effectively work with data, extract insights, and make informed decisions. This included learning techniques to: preprocess and clean messy datasets, create compelling visualizations to communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage and retrieve data efficiently, and use programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and model implementation.
