Hello! My name is Alexa McGlathery and I'm from Austin, TX. I am an incoming sophomore at Pepperdine University majoring in Journalism and minoring in Spanish. 

Experience

I interned and worked at West Austin News, starting as an associate reporter and working my way up to manage and run the social media for the company. I also work as a writer for the Pepperdine Graphic, I am the weather anchor for Pepperdine's news station, NewsWaves 32, and I write for Pepperdine's Currents magazine. 

Education

I am in school to earn my BA in Journalism and my minor in Spanish at Pepperdine University. I graduated from St. Micheal's Catholic Academy in 2024, and Trinity Episcopal School in 2020.
