Alex DelleMonache

I’m Alex DelleMonache, a furniture designer based in Denver with a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from SCAD. My work blends function and creativity, and I’m always looking for ways to make designs that are both useful and a little unexpected. I’d describe my style as fun and playful—I like experimenting with bold ideas, unique shapes, and vibrant colors.

Craftsmanship is really important to me, and I’ve spent a lot of time honing my skills to bring thoughtful, well-made pieces to life. Over the past year, I’ve also had the chance to help some friends open a pottery studio, which has been a super rewarding way to stay creative and connected to the local art community. For me, design is all about bringing joy and imagination into everyday life.

As a Furniture Designer at Garrett Brown Designs, I specialized in creating innovative and unique furniture pieces that focus on user experience. My role entails developing original designs, collaborating with interior designers and craftsmen to determine efficient manufacturing methods, resolve design and production issues, produce detailed SolidWorks drawings, and ensure seamless transitions from concept to final product. I stayed up to date on industry trends, select materials and finishes, and engage with clients to tailor designs to their preferences, presenting concepts and incorporating feedback to ensure satisfaction.

Perspective Design Fabrication, Denver CO - Designer, Fabricator

As a Fabricator and Designer at Perspective Design, I played a pivotal role in transforming conceptual designs into tangible, high-quality products. My responsibilities included hands-on fabrication using diverse techniques as well as extensive Solidworks modeling, ensuring the seamless assembly of components while maintaining high-quality standards. I collaborated closely with the design team, providing valuable insights to refine designs for efficient production. I also played a key role in material research, feasibility studies, and prototype development.

As an intern at Katy Skelton Home, I played a vital role in crafting high-end furniture pieces. I worked closely with experienced craftsmen, assisting in the assembly of intricate components and ensuring precision at every stage of the process. I actively worked to uphold the company's commitment to quality craftsmanship, making valuable contributions to the production of unique and exquisite pieces for clients.
