Alan Kaye, an Anesthesiologist from Shreveport, LA, won the first-place award in the National Student Research Forum. He was a resident at the time. He has also co-authored over 150 abstracts and 200 manuscripts and book chapters in the fields of pulmonary vascular pharmacology and anesthesiology.

Alan Kaye, an Anesthesiologist of Shreveport, LA, received his Ph.D. in 1997. His thesis was Pharmacology of Angiotensin Peptides and Nonpeptide Agonists in the Pulmonary Vascular Bed of the Cat and of the Rat.
