Adam El-Sawaf

By May 2024, I will have completed my four academic years at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey as an undergraduate computer science major with a double minor in cybersecurity and pure and applied mathematics, who will be achieving a Master's degree in computer science by the end of 2024. I am seeking experience in the professional programming and software industry, and I’m eager to learn. I am punctual, hardworking, quick-to learn, diligent, and I never leave a task undone. I’m excited for my first official position outside of my university to gain real world experience in this field. I enjoy meeting new people, and can communicate in English, Spanish, and Arabic. I can solve any problem thrown my way, and I am adept at utilizing modern technology. I am a very adaptable person, as I can work alone as well as in a team, small or large. I can work in a fast-paced or slow-paced environment. I am looking forward to becoming a member of your team and hearing from you soon. I will be available for work as of June 2024, but I do have flexibility if needed. I hope that this position will allow me to gain experience in using the different tools of web development and in working in a real-world environment. I strive for constant personal growth, and I believe that there is always room for improvement. Outside of the technical knowledge presented in the classroom, life skills such as public speaking, interpersonal relationships, and time management are essential for not just succeeding, but thriving in life, no matter how you choose to spend it.

Algorithms Course Assistant at Stevens Institute of Technology (Sep 2023 - Present):

I host weekly recitation labs and office hours to assist students with C++ programming and key computer science concepts such as depth-first search, Dijkstra’s algorithm, sorting algorithms, and tree data structures. Additionally, I am responsible for grading the programming and written assignments and exams of my students.
