About Abigail Lopez:
Greetings, my name is Abigail and I am currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at the esteemed University of Houston. Being a first-generation college student, I am determined to utilize my collaborative, problem-solving, communicative, time management, organizational, and leadership proficiencies to positively impact society. I have acquired these skills through numerous school projects, volunteer work, and my present retail experience positions.
Furthermore, I was actively involved in various organizations during my time at Texas A&M University, including the Mexican Student Association (MSA) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Additionally, I volunteered as a peer notetaker for Disability Resources during the Fall 2021 semester at Texas A&M University, where I showcased the Aggie core values of respect, selfless service, and leadership by assisting my peers and facilitating an accessible and inclusive learning environment for all Aggies. I dedicated 37 hours to this volunteer service, demonstrating my dependability, punctuality, and trustworthiness.
From an early age, I have been deeply interested in creating innovative solutions and addressing issues that have the potential to enhance our society. My concentration for this degree is centered around green energy, plant design, and the ability to effectively manage industrial processes. As a result, I was highly motivated to pursue a major that aligns with my skills and interests.
My ardor, ingenuity, self-respect, and perseverance have been essential in surmounting numerous challenges as I work towards fulfilling my academic objectives. I am committed to continually augmenting my technical abilities and interpersonal skills to attain the pinnacle of my potential.
I possess comprehensive knowledge of various tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, RStudio, Python, and Excel, which makes me proficient in various aspects of Chemical Engineering.
