Job Description:

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON) and in collaboration with management to assist the DON in planning, coordinating, and overseeing operations for the skilled nursing and short stay departments. You will exercise independent judgment to ensure that the daily operations of the facility align with the objectives of the health system and adhere to regulatory and legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Upholding the health system's mission, vision, values, and ethos
Leading and managing for optimal reliability outcomes
Cultivating strategic relationships throughout the organization to encourage teamwork and cooperation
Contributing to the formulation of vision and strategy for the nursing department
Showcasing fiscal accountability in resource planning and management for the nursing department
Taking charge of the nursing department in the absence of the DON
Ensuring compliance with quality metrics through system enhancement and assessment
Serving as a facility coordinator, liaising with regulatory bodies, and keeping the DON informed
Reviewing incident reports, identifying recurring issues, and devising improvement strategies
Contributing to the growth of the management team and staying abreast of healthcare trends
Participating in defining and tracking annual goals and objectives
Managing on-call duties and supporting organizational priorities
Collaborating with the talent acquisition team to recruit candidates for vacant positions
Resolving conflicts promptly and ensuring ADP completion for nursing staff
Undertaking other assigned tasks

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of administrative and managerial experience in a long-term care facility
RN, BSN
Ability to create and oversee new programs and services
Capability to analyze and troubleshoot in a dynamic healthcare setting
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Proficiency in regulatory and legal standards
