    MDH Spring Grove Hospital Center\rCatonsville, MD 21228\r

    POSITION DUTIES

    The main purpose of this position is to manage the activities of a unique Cook/Chill food processing system in DHMH.

    This position will oversee food production, tray assembly and tray delivery of approximately 1200 meals per day in large food service operations.

    This position will be coordinating the duties of food service personnel to produce meals with the responsibility of appearance, texture, portion control, temperatures, and safe food handling procedures.

    This position will receive general supervision from a Food Service Administrator.\r

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience:
    Six years of experience supervising workers and activities in an institutional, commercial, or industrial food service operation

    \rNotes:

    \r1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience supervising workers and activities in an institutional, commercial, or industrial food service operation for the required experience.\r2.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Food Services Officers or Culinary Specialist classifications or Food Services Manager and Services Officer specialty codes in the Food Service Management field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r

    DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    The desired candidates should have experience in the\rfollowing:\r1. Experience coordinating activities of food production,\rdelivery to tray assembly areas and tray assembly in the Central Kitchen.\r2. Experience coordinating cook/chill production, pump\rkettle and cook tank with the ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise.\r3. Experience maintaining inventory of equipment, kitchen\rsupplies, daily food production etc.\r
