    Description
    • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
      • Under the direct supervision of a physical or occupational therapist, assists with support activities in the provision of patient care. Responsible for support activities including patient transportation, equipment maintenance, supplies, inventory, and office assistance. Performs other duties as assigned.

      • Education
        • Required: Highschool, GED or Higher Level Degree

        • Preferred: Work experience or volunteer in the rehabilitative service areas.
    • Essential Responsibilities
      • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
      • Provides effective therapy treatment support activities as delegated by the therapist and in compliance with hospital licensing and accreditation standards and in compliance with the Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
      • Maintains supply inventory.
      • Maintains equipment and appearance of the treatment areas.
      • Provides thorough, timely, legible, and consistent patient care documentation as appropriate.
      • Utilizes all resources to assist with patient flow as applicable (prints forms, schedules patients, etc.).
      • Participates in special department programs as assigned.
      • Facilitates interdisciplinary communication and coordination to maximize patient outcomes.
      • Communicates positively, appropriately, and in a timely fashion to all communications including patients, co-workers, supervisors, other departments, physicians, etc.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
