    Independence Mission Schools (IMS):
    Independence Mission Schools (IMS) are educational institutions that cater to students of all faiths across Philadelphia. A new network of 14 schools providing a blend of Catholic education and innovative teaching methods to address the diverse learning needs of students. Since establishment in 2012, IMS has experienced a 20% growth in enrollment, with students surpassing 80% of neighboring public and charter schools in Reading. The network is acknowledged for effectively integrating faith, character, and academics, creating vibrant and sustainable learning environments for students, staff, and the community. IMS prioritizes preparing students for future college and career endeavors by ensuring they are academically on par and enrolled in quality high schools.

Several Independence Mission Schools are currently looking for individuals to fill custodian/maintenance roles.

    The custodian and/or maintenance worker, reporting to School Principals and Central Office staff, undertakes routine and ad hoc maintenance tasks including custodial services within IMS schools. The job entails various responsibilities such as interior and exterior building maintenance, scheduling, cleaning, repairs, operation of systems, and assistance in outdoor area upkeep. The role also involves support for school activities setup and security operations. The position may require schedule adjustments and substitution for other custodial staff when needed.
