Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals
Lead, mentor, and coach the sales team to achieve their targets and professional growth
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners
Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement to delivery
Develop and manage the sales budget, forecasting, and reporting
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and best practices to keep our company at the forefront of the sign manufacturing market
A day in the life of this person might look like:
Review sales reports and performance metrics from the previous day or week
Analyze sales data, identifying trends, and assessing progress toward revenue goals
Hold morning meetings with the sales team to discuss priorities for the day, review ongoing projects, and provide guidance
Address any challenges or roadblocks and motivate the team to achieve their targets
Contact key clients to maintain relationships, discuss ongoing projects, and address any concerns or inquiries. This may involve phone calls, emails, or virtual meetings
Spend time strategizing and planning for future sales initiatives. This could involve evaluating market opportunities, exploring potential partnerships, or developing new sales strategies to penetrate specific industries or regions
Be available to provide support and guidance to the sales team throughout the day. This includes assisting with negotiations, helping to overcome objections, and providing insights to close deals
Conduct or attend meetings with potential clients, existing clients, or partners. These meetings may involve product presentations, contract negotiations, or discussions about custom sign solutions
Continuously update and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring that leads and opportunities are properly tracked and followed up on. Prioritize high-potential deals and allocate resources accordingly
Spend time reviewing and adjusting the sales budget and forecasts. Ensure that financial goals align with the sales strategy and make adjustments as needed
Dedicate time to coaching and mentoring the sales team members. Provide feedback on their performance, help them develop their skills, and discuss their career growth within the organization
Attend industry events, conferences, or networking opportunities to build relationships, gain market insights, and promote the company's products and services
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
5+ years of successful sales leadership experience, preferably in the manufacturing or signage industry
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions
Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools
A strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset
