    Purpose/Introduction

    This position has a strategic, long-term focus with emphasis on reciprocating compressor reliability improvement and turnaround support.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for reliability of reciprocating compressors
    Create reciprocating compressor reliability improvement with maintenance and operations involvement
    Champion or participate in development and implementation of Asset Strategies (including FMEAs) for critical reciprocating compressors
    Optimize and maintain spare parts requirements for critical reciprocating compressors
    Create turnaround scope documents for reciprocating compressor overhauls
    Participate in turnaround work execution with QA/QC, hold point witnessing, ensure proper documentation and reliable return to service
    Provide technical input for upgrade projects, including rerates
    Provide technical troubleshooting and repair support
    Input recommendations into APM/Meridium and validate work order history
    Provide SME assistance to corporate central engineering and other CPChem sites as needed and requested
    Provide backfill support to area Rotating Equipment Reliability Analysts or Engineers as needed and be available for vacation and training relief

    Required Qualifications

    High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 15 years of experience with Reciprocating Compressors


    OR
    a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience with Reciprocating Compressors
