    Created in 1993, LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles.


    As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, we coordinate and manage over $800 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.


    Under the supervision of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Manager, the Senior Analyst Implementation will be responsible for a broad range of activities related to the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the Los Angeles CoC (LA CoC) HMIS.


    The functions listed below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities.


    Act as the lead point of contact and assist non-profit homeless service providers with HMIS orientation and implementation through site visits, email, telephone communication, and meetings.

    Setup agency and program in HMIS and conduct HMIS demonstrations to internal and external partners.
    Gather reporting needs and provide program setup recommendations based on findings.

    Collect and maintain updated HMIS program information, such as contact information, site addresses, and bed inventory, ensuring updates are posted to all HMIS project websites.

    Provide monthly feedback to the leadership team regarding changes or modifications to enhance HMIS.
    Analyze HMIS system use and process audit reports weekly.
    Monitor and close out programs by collecting programmatic updates from internal teams.
    Evaluate and propose modifications to current implementation processes to improve and maximize efficiencies.

    Develop, implement, and monitor an internal tracking system to maintain accurate, consistent, and coordinated data collection and data entry of programmatic information within the HMIS.

    Lead the monitoring of the ticketing system for implementation requests, assess other inquiries, and resolve or refer to appropriate departmental resources for resolution.

    Oversee and ensure proper storage and organization of electronic documents and agreements.
    Maintain current knowledge of homeless assistance programs.
    Perform other duties as assigned.


    Able to work collaboratively and professionally in a group setting with a high level of productivity to achieve a common goal.

    Must have exceptional written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively through written and public speaking and all levels of management, staff, and external clients, especially those who are not well-versed in computer technology.

    Attention to detail and highly organized, ensuring quality and accuracy in one's work.
    Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing tasks/projects.
    Highly analytical and able to strategically solve problems in a logical and systematic way, quickly grasping and applying concepts.
    Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    Knowledge of the LA CoC HMIS
    Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and timelines.
    Demonstrated ability to work with diverse community and organizational groups.
    Ability to translate between agency information needs and database structure and functions required.

    Proven professional experience and educational background.
