    We seek talented individuals who can work collaboratively within a strong team culture, effectively communicate with leadership, and work toward becoming subject matter experts in support of Newmark's extensive brokerage network. The work environment requires delivering meaningful and accurate quantitative and qualitative analytics, virtually and in person as part of a multi-market team. Strong presentation and writing skills are essential to support the creation of executive-level quality reports that are clear and that give actionable solutions to our clients' most complex real estate challenges. The candidate should be familiar with workforce and labor data sources and experience with developing and analyzing large datasets.

    A wide variety of projects and situations will present themselves to the candidate, and the candidate will embrace new challenges and demonstrate critical thinking and technology skills to help solve our client's researchable problems, domestic and global in context. Candidates should have had 1-3 years of relevant analytical experience (e.g., in financial analysis, economic development, site selection, real estate, planning, tax, consulting or investment banking). They will work with some supervision and must have a high degree of integrity and the ability to treat sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

    Candidate may be based out of Chicago IL, Dallas, TX and San Jose, CA.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop customized analysis on a broad range of geographically variable conditions to support location strategy consulting assignments for middle market and global Fortune 1000 clients, including aspects such as:
    • Labor market trend analysis at the macro, industry and occupational levels
    • Demographics and migration analysis, compensation and benefits trends
    • Help prepare and deliver analysis results to clients in oral and written presentations
    • Using our internal toolkits, apply data analytics around client operational data to analyze performance.
    • Connect to a variety of datasets (internal, client-provided) for executive level reports / dashboards.
    • Integrate labor data with other key location metrics on business climate, quality of place, supply chain and commercial real estate
    • Prepare mapping and workflow analyses and other decision tools
    • Maintain communication with the client on consulting needs and service client as needed
    • Provide support for general projects and client account management
    • Provide sales support for key pursuits and business development activities

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Qualified candidates should possess the following experience and skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Human Resources Management, Finance, or related field
    • MBA or other specialized master's degree a plus, not required
    • 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, corporate real estate, planning, real estate development, economic development, logistics or related disciplines, or management consulting role
    • Ability to work with a cross-functional team and manage a variety of strategic initiatives
    • Excellent written and communication skills
    • Demonstrated strong analytics and computer skills; knowledge of demographic and occupational data and sources and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, QlikView and CRE Navigator) a plus
    • Proficiency with technology and client service tools; PowerPoint, Excel, Word; project management and process mapping experience a plus
    • Experience with supporting analyses that support client decision-making
    • GIS mapping experience a plus
