- Distributing documents, faxes and correspondence
- Photocopying, scanning and or uploading documents into various document and/or EMR systems
- Receiving, sorting and distributing mail
- Processing, researching and correcting "Bad Mail" in client system(s)
- Completing Medical and Billing Record Requests
- Following Charity Care Approval Procedures
- Following Death Certificate and Bankruptcy procedures
- Maintaining filing systems
- Use, protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
- Maintain a professional attitude
- All other duties as directed by Manager
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work on-site is required
- Knowledge of healthcare administration a plus
- Knowledge of EMR systems is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Proficient in use of email and internet
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
