We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Shipping Lead

Shipping Lead primary job duty is to know the shipping rules and must ensure that all goods of the company are sent and received by as per rules and regulations of the law.

Role and Responsibilities

Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, other records.

Determines method of shipment ,utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes , rates

Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information.

Inserts cardboard/ padding for protection of corners for shipments

Post weights and shipping affixes on postage

Routes items to departments

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications

Track and schedule calls from carriers regarding shipping/pickups

Provides work instructions to other employees with the group

Provides feedback to supervisor or manager on group performance status or any issues

May perform other duties as assigned

Submit reports as required by management, as requested.

Education, Training and Skills

High school diploma preferred

2 or more years of data entry experience, preferred

Knowledge of import and export regulations

Able to utilize manual moving equipment including; pallet jacks, carts, scissor lifts, etc.

MS office, with Intermediate experience in excel and other warehouse software

Familiarity with 5s preferred

Able to read, write and speak the English language & numeric system

Must be able to work in fast paced team environment

Ability to work with general supervision

Effective communication skills and excellent coordination skills

Great organizational skills and time management sills
