    Description
    Overview

    Summary: The Quality Control Technician in South Elgin will enforce quality assurance methods to ensure products and materials meet specifications safely and efficiently.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct tests and inspect concrete quality
    • Sample and evaluate materials related to concrete
    • Monitor equipment for concrete tolerance
    • Record test data accurately
    • Utilize quality control software for data input
    • Test concrete strength
    • Analyze and address customer concerns
    • Maintain quality control software

    Production and Processing:

    • Perform aggregate and batch plants tests

    Communication Skills:

    • Provide information to supervisors and contractors
    • Communicate effectively with dispatch office

    Global Responsibilities:

    • Regular attendance at work is essential
    • Job may include additional duties

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
    • ACI Level 1 or NICET Certified required
    • Valid driver's license required
    • Knowledge of raw materials and quality control preferred

    Experience:

    • Related field experience preferred

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Proficiency in English preferred
    • Smart phone operation ability
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Working Conditions:

    • Fast-paced environment
    • Exposed to various elements
    • Noise level can vary
    • Professionally handle stressful situations
    • Local travel required

    Physical Requirements:

    • Various physical demands
    • Must be able to work long hours
