Description
Requires teacher and/or coach who holds a Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Coaching Permit.
LPS is seeking an assistant softball coach to provide support for softball athletes in service of the Standing Bear softball program.
Good communication and organizational skills are required as well as the ability to develop positive relationships with student-participants, families and the LPS community.
LPS assistant coaches are expected to follow the guidance of their head coaches in organizing and leading practices, regular season and district contests and performances (not to exceed NSAA/LPS allowances); facilitate, manage and provide oversight of the program; maintain required certification and requirements of the position; and lead their teams in NSAA state championship preparation and performances if the team or individuals qualify.
Knowledge and understanding of NSAA and LPS policies and bylaws is required.
