**Dart is looking for individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment that involves working with and around moving machinery. As a Forklift Operator, you play a critical role in providing our customers with a quality product.**
**Day to Day Role:**
Operate gas or electric-powered clamp truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, and finished goods
Understand customer requirements and decide how to select and load storage areas
Stack product in a uniform and damage-free condition
Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure proper inventory management
May be responsible for one or more of the following:
+ Handling customer freight
+ Stock, collect, retrieve and deliver material and goods
+ Transport large paper, printer, slit rolls, or other large material items
+ Load and unload trucks or railcar, whether manually or using a PIT
+ Log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and goods
+ General maintenance of the forklift, log sheets, and reporting mechanical problems
+ Analyze available space for materials and reposition materials as needed
+ Other routine duties such as assisting in clearing jams, palletizing cases, wrapping pallets, etc.
**Core Skills and Qualifications:**
**The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:**
Six (6) months of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
Previous experience operating a clamp truck preferred
