    The Opportunity

    As part of the America's team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly-motivated Regional Sales Manager, Cranes. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the appointment of a high-quality Regional Sales Manager, Crane who is responsible for sales performance and market position with the assigned territory. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing new sales opportunities, both through direct accounts or existing dealer network by proactively developing direct accounts and new dealers. This person will be responsible for developing new major accounts relations, train and develop dealers throughout his/her assigned territory that will promote the SANY brand. The Regional Sales Manager, Crane has overall responsibility for achievement of set sales goals along with marketing objectives relevant to the business. In this role, SANY is looking to recruit a passionate and people-focused leader. The role will require someone who is proactive with the ability to understand the customer's needs. Also critical to the role will be identifying viable solutions and business opportunities.

    TERRITORY

    • Northeast: CT, ME, HN, RI, VT, NY, VA, WV
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Responsible for sales and marketing activities in assigned territory, both through direct accounts or existing dealer network by proactively prospecting and engaging current and new potential customers.
    • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective market strategies to achieve company sales and profit goals.
    • Manage dealer sales training.
    • Sells company's products and services by calling on prospective and established customers and governmental agencies.
    • Responsible for reporting to upper-level management with progress reports on a weekly basis.
    • Responsible for maintaining customer relationships while achieving sales and profit goals.
    • Responsible for maintaining detailed knowledge of company products and competitor's products.
    • Delivers sales presentations to key clients for direct sale of cranes.
    • Recommends budget expenditures for sales activities and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
    • Monitors, evaluates, and reports the activities and products of the competition.
    • Reports updated information on new projects, their progress, and any lost sale activity on a timely basis.
    • Participates in the development and implementation of a strategic sales plan to accommodate corporate goals.
    • Directs and participates in sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
    • Represents company at trade association meetings and customer events to promote products.
    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate will have:
    • 10+ years of crane industry sales/marketing experience with a mechanical aptitude along with experience working with Industrial Machinery through Dealer or Distribution and OEM markets. Must have Value Based Selling experience.
    • Outstanding listening, written and verbal communication skills along with exceptional computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) .
    • Be driven to win, goal-directed, adaptable and agile, people focused and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
    • Have a Root Cause/Countermeasure approach to problem solving (analytical vs. intuitive).
    • Sales professional with Value Based Selling experience along with an Executive presence and emotional maturity who has a strong business acumen with the ability to be flexible to change and pace, must take feedback to alter pace and dosage of change.
    • Ability to work independently while simultaneously handling multiple projects.
    • Process driven, detailed oriented, results driven and self-motivated.
    • Ability to build trust and credibility globally which includes winning approval from various stakeholders.
    • High energy with a sense of urgency who is stress tolerance, resilience and self-confident.
    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Travel
    • Ability to travel up to 80% within assigned sales territory.

    Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
