    The focus of Adult Psychiatric Inpatient is treatment is to address a crisis situation.

    Attention is given to diagnosis, assessment and the selection of treatment interventions that will help to stabilize the person's behavior or condition quickly.

    The position will be cross-trained to work in the ED emergency department on the behavioral health suite.

    The TEAM dynamic consists of:
    Psychiatrist provides leadership and daily medication management

    Therapists provide individual and family therapy as needed

    Nurses provide around the clock care supervision

    RN care coordinator partners with patients throughout the stay to create a discharge plan unique to each patient's needs for a successful transition to home

    Psychiatric technicians provide a therapeutic environment, meet requests as appropriate based on the unique treatment plan, and partner with our patients to ensure safety

    General Summary


    Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital.

    Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
