    Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

    The Raytheon Mechanical Engineering Organization oversees the design, development, and production of various equipment essential for defense systems. Specifically, the Air Defense Ground Equipment Department focuses on integrating platform systems and developing hardware solutions.

    We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, MA.

    What You Will Do:

    • Perform mechanical design and development of cables and harnesses for defense system equipment
    • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and suppliers to find design solutions
    • Work independently to meet project goals and deadlines
    • Conduct design peer reviews and support technical decision-making
    • Design a variety of cables including Radio Frequency, copper, and fiber optic
    • Utilize tools like CREO for cable routing and modeling
    • Evaluate technical changes with manufacturing and suppliers

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of prior engineering experience
    • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in cables and harnesses
    • Familiarity with CAD design tools like CREO and AutoCAD
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Advanced degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
    • Experience with product data management tools and cable assemblies
    • Knowledge of specifications related to Radio Frequency and Fiber Optic cables
    • Previous involvement in Bid and Proposal efforts
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning
