    Successfully Aging and Living in San Antonio Transportation

    The San Antonio Area Foundation works to close the opportunity gaps for those who need it most.

    Successfully Aging and Living in San Antonio (SALSA) is the Foundation's collective impact with a mission to increase leadership, collaboration, and funding to ensure older adults have access to necessary services, information, and support systems focused in the areas of housing, transportation, socialization, and caregiver support to cover the myriad of ways poverty affects our older adults in San Antonio.

    VISTA members will identify barriers preventing residents from aging and living well, educate the community about resources and help to enhance SALSA projects and partner programs that fill in the gaps that are influenced by poverty.

    Member Duties :
    Enhance local volunteer driver recruitment: Complete a national review of volunteer driver transportation programs and create recruitment plan


    Coordinate community outreach efforts:

    Develop marketing collateral, develop partnerships with community organizations for targeted recruitment, and review and assess community resources for areas of growth and partnership potential.

    Research the implementation of a One Call One Click (1C1C) Transportation System in collaboration with local transportation providers
