- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule.
- Conduct systems integration of the I & C system, including programming of PLCs/PCs and HMI customizing for various control software programs.
- Function as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of the position.
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
- Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Write and edit I & C specifications, select equipment and monitoring/control devices.
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders.
- Provide construction contract administration as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with Electrical or Mechanical emphasis.
- A minimum of 5 years applicable experience.
- PE.
- Hands-on experience designing I & C Systems, including schematics and loops desired.
- Familiarity with BIM I & C programs desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.
- Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Electrical or Mechanical emphasis.
- PLC/WTP and WWTP software programming experience desired.
- Preference given to local candidates.
