About the Position:

We are looking for Distribution Center Splitters/Pickers to join our team. As a Distribution Center Splitter/Picker, you will play a crucial role in preparing products for shipment to retail locations and receiving products from vendors.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Utilize scanning equipment to scan merchandise into inventory.
• Print and attach price tags to merchandise.
• Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for retail shipments.
• Ensure accurate allocation of quantities.
• Submit packing slips and freight bills as needed.
• Check quantities against packing slips and make corrections when necessary.
• Load merchandise onto pallets, shrink-wrapping when required.
• Practice workplace safety and follow proper work habits.
• Organize merchandise in designated bin locations.
• Complete daily pick orders for all stores.
• Rotate stock in bins following the first-in, first-out principle.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pick machines.
• Manage bin inventories and report discrepancies to the manager.
• Perform routine maintenance on lift trucks.

Other Duties:

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Extended periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting as needed.

Education, Training, and Experience:

Preferably a High School Diploma or GED.

Working Environment and Conditions:

• Work in a Distribution Center with varying temperatures.

Equipment and Tools:

• Computer, calculator, and scanner.
• Telephone, fax machine, and copy machine.
• Computer software, network access, pallet jacks, and small hand tools.
• Lift trucks for operational tasks.
